Congratulations to CMU’s
2005 Michigan Professor of the Year
The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education recently awarded Gary Gagnon, assistant professor of marketing and hospitality, the 2005 Michigan Professor of the Year.
This prestigious award recognizes professors who have shown exceptional dedication to undergraduate teaching and is given only to the country’s most extraordinary instructors. Gagnon shares his extensive international business and higher educational experiences with his students and engages them using a creative, hands-on approach.
Gagnon is the third CMU professor to receive this award. Mark Francek, geography, received the award in 2002. Gary Dunbar, psychology, received the award in 1997.
