Support the School of Accounting Excellence Fund
Fund nearing endowment status
Central Michigan University’s newly established School of Accounting Excellence Fund soon will begin generating some of the needed ongoing support for initiatives to enhance student education and encourage faculty research and development.
With donations of approximately $20,000 already received, the School of Accounting Excellence Fund is nearing $25,000, the level at which an endowment officially will be established and earnings awards will begin to be made.
This endowment will provide perpetual School of Accounting funding for:
- Faculty research and professional development projects
- Student organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi and Student Accounting Society
- New equipment and software acquisitions
- Costs incurred for American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation
CMU’s School of Accounting prepares its students for professional careers in public accounting firms, corporations, nonprofit entities, and a variety of other organizations. The school has offered one of the first two accounting programs in Michigan that lead to the prestigious accounting accreditation granted by the AACSB.
